It is fitting that I finished editing this Wedding today, International Women's day. It gives me a chance to chat about two amazing international Women who's wedding I was lucky enough to photograph.
Before Ashley and Diane had found each they had both visited Kinnity Castle. This beautiful coincidence inspired them to bring their loved ones all the way across the Atlantic to see them get wed back in this beautiful place. I just love it when people have a big dream and have the courage to see it through.
Their wedding day was cold and foggy but the atmosphere inside the castle was amazing. So much excitement, pints of the black stuff, killer heels and loads of laughs.
Their friend acted as celebrant and added an interesting twist to the nuptials. To seel the deal the girls were handed two rather large shots of Irish Whiskey to knock back, this they took in their stride. This was a first for me.
The rest of the day was a blast. The fires were lit in the cosy bar and 'The Kooky Yukes' where taking requests and the dancing began long before dinner was served. This was another first for me. If the fog hadn't cleared I would have been very happily stuck for the night at this party with these great women.
